A Fresh Perspective for a New Day
Some months ago I received an encouraging text message from a dear friend that said, “God is turning it around. No worries. Just praises.” It came to my remembrance the other day while praising God for giving me a new perspective about how He’s working in my life.
I’ve spent so much time over the past few months worrying and stressing over things I couldn’t figure out, control, or understand, when I should have simply been praising God for how He’ll surely show Himself strong and faithful once the smoke clears.
After finding myself stuck in a bit of a rut, I had a real come-to-Jesus meeting. I had a stern talk with myself and cast down the glass-half-empty vantage point I’d subconsciously taken on. I commanded my mind to pull its focus away from everything that was missing in my life and redirect it to what still remains. Yes, I’ve lost a lot in this season, but I haven’t lost it all. Though life seemed to take a turn for the worse, I believe with all of my heart that God is turning it all around.
Not only for me, but for you, too.
When unexpected earthquakes happen, shake the walls of your life, and knock things all out of whack, finding stability again can be quite a challenge. If not careful, you will find yourself stuck in the rubbish of it all, failing to realize that it can all be cleaned up and you can start afresh by building upon what’s left intact.
I can admit that I was stuck in that place recently. I somehow got lost in the aftermath of the strong winds that blew in my life and failed to steadily focus on the fact that God is more than able to put all of the pieces back together, and turn it around to work in my favor.
But it’s a new day and I have a fresh perspective. I no longer view the rain as a storm that comes to flood away my life, but as a catalyst for the downpour of God’s grace and blessings. It’s still sprinkling a bit, but I can clearly see the sun peeking through the clouds, and my mourning has turned into joyful dancing (Psalm 30:11). I don’t know exactly how, but He’s turning it all around.
That’s just the kind of God He is. He specializes in displaying His mighty power and wisdom through the messiness of life. If you trust Him, you will learn that every unfavorable circumstance you encounter is an opportunity to experience an outpour of His favor.
I believe 1 Peter 5:10 is a perfect example of God turning things to work in your favor. It says, “In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” After it’s all said and done, God will surely restore you.
He will turn the messiness of your life into a powerful message.
He will turn your pain into your purpose.
He will turn your test into your testimony.
He will turn your grief into an example of grace.
He will turn your sorrow into songs of praise.
He will turn your loss into gain.
He will turn your entire life into a testament of His mighty power.
He will turn it all around.
I echo my sweet friend in saying to you, God is turning it around. No worries. Just praises.
Sit back and watch Him work!

I feel like that text was for me! I've got a lot going on in my life this year and need to be free in my mind. I worry so much about everything, because it looks like nothing is going to change. Your encouragement is a like a lifeline.
He will turn your grief into an example of grace.
He will turn your sorrow into songs of praise.
I needed to read that. Just buried my cousin who got shot in a gang. Need God's grace and help through this one. Appreciate this word.
Anointed women of God, you are on it today with this word. I had "a real come-to-Jesus meeting" myself recently. LOL! It has changed my outlook so much and I intend to keep that fresh perspective.
Thank-you so much for posting this, this is exactly where I am. I just discovered this site a couple of days ago and I've been so encouraged and uplifted by the blog posts on here. Thank-you for your courage and honesty. In the midst of crazy storms, it at times can feel as if we are in it alone, but thank- you for letting me know that I'm not in this by myself.
Blessings
