EEW founder Dianna Hobbs covers the magazine's 10-year anniversary issue

(EEW ) Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, Inc., the publisher of EEW Online Magazine—America’s leading web publication for women of faith and color—has unveiled its 10-year anniversary cover, which features its award-winning founder, Dianna Hobbs. The full cover story will be released Monday, August 7.

EEW is the brainchild of Hobbs, 40, who is opening up about how life has been since her miraculous healing from two autoimmune diseases in March and her journey from startup publisher to leader in her field.

“Dianna is a hard worker. She shies away from the spotlight, prefers to be behind the scenes and has never appeared on any of our digital covers over the past decade,” says Natalie Harris, an EEW staff editor who helped work on the story.

“This is the very first time our global faith community will see Dianna as a cover subject, which will be a real treat for them,” Harris continued. “It took quite a bit of convincing to get her to agree, but in honor of this incredible milestone, our team all agreed it was time.”

The online publishing world is a difficult field to thrive in, as evidenced by the fact that several of Hobbs’ peers have entered and exited this arena within the span of few years.

“Online magazines tend to vanish as quickly as they pop up,” said Cynthia Davis, Washington-based media expert, who specializes in online media and market trends.

“The fact that EEW is not just here, but thriving, and able to connect, not merely with voices of faith, but with those in mainstream media as well, is quite remarkable by the standards of any industry expert,” she added.

What began as a newsletter has blossomed into one of the most trusted brands in the faith community today. According to Hobbs, she remains determined to infuse voices of faith into mainstream media and with lots of hard-work, and a never-give-up attitude, that mission is being accomplished daily.
